Chairman of GRNET, Emeritus Professor of ECE at NTUA
Stefanos Kollias is Chairman of the Board of National Infrastructures for Research & Technology (GRNET) and Emeritus Professor at the National Technical University of Athens. An IEEE Fellow, he is internationally recognized for pioneering research in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI, multimodal content analysis. He has authored over 300 publications, receiving 17,000 citations and an h-index of 62. He has supervised 50 Ph.D. students and led participation in 100 European R&D projects, securing over €20 million in funding. He serves several academic and research boards and expert groups. He coordinates the PHAROS AI Factory, whilst GRNET operates Greece’s Daedalus Supercomputer.
