The upcoming Data Summit Luxembourg 2025 will feature a keynote presentation on one of Europe’s most ambitious energy data initiatives: INSIEME – Together Towards the Common European Energy Data Space.
This keynote will explore how the Digital Europe project INSIEME is contributing to the creation of a Common European Energy Data Space (CEEDS). By aligning with European strategies, INSIEME is building a federated architecture that connects and strengthens existing national and regional energy data spaces.
The project brings together a consortium of over 50 partners, including technology providers, data space operators, system operators, energy communities, AI experts, and EU associations. Their collaborative efforts focus on developing standardized data exchange protocols, cloud-edge connectivity, governance frameworks, and business models to enable secure and trusted data sharing across Europe.
With 14 pan-European deployments planned across at least 16 EU countries, INSIEME will address real-world use cases such as:
This keynote will highlight how INSIEME’s work is shaping the future of energy data collaboration in Europe, and what lessons can be drawn for broader public data reuse initiatives.
