Gilles Hermes

As Project Manager at the Ministry for Digitalisation, Gilles coordinates projects to implement strategic data initiatives, focusing on the Once Only Principle, public sector data governance, and overall data valorisation. With a background in public relations, he entered the digital sphere by designing and implementing some of Luxembourg’s first social media strategies for clients at a communications agency. In this fast-paced and evolving environment, his interest quickly shifted towards human needs, allowing him to grasp the real challenges posed by new communication methods and technologies. Later, in the energy sector, he developed expertise in user experience design as well as data management and value creation. These skills now enable him to successfully drive a wide range of projects for the Ministry for Digitalisation in the fields of data valorisation and interoperability.
